Under the direction of Dr. Lisa Cannon of Quality Wound Care, the Wound Care Program at Spring Creek offers our residents the latest evidence based protocols that promote prompt wound healing.
Our experienced nursing staff provides specialized wound care treatment that includes e-stim, diathermy, wound VAC therapy and dynamic pressure relief mattresses.
Following best practices in wound management and trained in the latest wound care techniques, our team effectively treats:
We have rigorous protocols in place to stimulate tissue growth and faster healing of existing wounds, and to prevent the development of new wounds or pressure sores.
Our nurses change wound dressings frequently to maintain a clean and bacteria-free wound bed, and encourage and assist our patients to turn as needed. We provide surface support that includes low pressure air loss mattresses, and special wheelchair cushions. Of critical importance to the healing process is proper nutrition. Our dietitians work closely with our nurses and doctors to ensure every resident receives the diet they need.
Regardless of the care you need—be it skin grafting, compression therapy, debridement, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, vacuum wound healing, wound cleansing with specialty dressing selection, gait training or anything in between—we will work with your insurance company to maximize your fullest potential.
